Customer Terms of Agreement

By using the KnowAGuy.io platform, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to the following Terms of Agreement.
Please read these terms carefully before submitting a service request or hiring a contractor through our platform.
1. Purpose of the Platform
KnowAGuy.io is a platform designed to connect customers with pre-vetted, independent contractors for a wide range of home service and repair needs. We act as a referral and facilitation service — not as an employer, agent, or guarantor of work.
2. Service Requests and Matching Process
All requests submitted through KnowAGuy.io will be shared with qualified contractors in your selected region.Contractors may submit a quote or follow up directly for more information.You are not obligated to accept any quote. You may choose the contractor that best fits your needs.
3. Contractor Relationship
Certified contractors listed on KnowAGuy.io are independent businesses and are not employees or representatives of KnowAGuy.io. Any agreement for services is made directly between you and the contractor. You acknowledge that KnowAGuy.io is not responsible for the quality, timing, or outcome of any work performed.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Provide accurate and detailed information in your service request.Respond to contractors in a timely manner once matched.Treat contractors with respect and allow them reasonable access to the project site. Pay contractors promptly in accordance with your individual agreement with them.
5. Payments and Pricing
KnowAGuy.io does not process payments between customers and contractors.Any pricing, deposits, or payment terms are to be negotiated and agreed upon directly with the contractor. We do not guarantee price matching or the lowest possible quote.
6. Disputes and Conflict Resolution
KnowAGuy.io is not liable for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from work performed by contractors. We encourage both parties to resolve any conflicts directly. If support is needed, KnowAGuy.io may offer general guidance but does not mediate or enforce terms.
7. Cancellations
You may cancel a request at any time before hiring a contractor. Once you enter into a service agreement with a contractor, their individual cancellation or refund policy will apply.
8. Safety and Conduct
We screen contractors through a multi-step verification process. However, you are responsible for making informed decisions and exercising caution when engaging anyone in your home or business. Any illegal, abusive, or harassing behavior may result in your removal from the platform.
9. Use of Data
Your information is used only to match you with contractors and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information.
10. Modifications
These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Limitation of Liability
KnowAGuy.io shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or services rendered by contractors.1
